is fun to play with? What is a cheap rodent to buy at petsmart?
A RAT! Rats make perfect pets. I would suggest you get at least two of the same sex because they need company of their own kind. They also need each other for grooming. It is a myth that having one rat means it will bond to you more. I have had groups of up to 8 in a cage and they have all bonded fine with me. They all come running to the door when I walk past. They all love being on me, some on my shoulders, some down my shirt and some in my sleeves. I've never been bitten by them. One thing I have noticed is that its easier to tame two or more rats because they learn from each other.
and if rats are too big or sick for whatever for you then get a mouse! they are a lot like rats but smaller and they smell worse. they are extremely nice and smart.
have fun with your new rodent friend! What is a cheap rodent to buy at petsmart?
Gerbils!
They are so cute! They are very playful, fun to watch, and I could be with them for hours! In fact, I do!
They cost about $6 dollars each. That would be $12! Then you can buy a $40 10 gallon tank. A cheap $4 food bowl. A $5 4 oz. water bottle. Then you can buy a $10 ball, and a $10 wheel! Also, get some Care Fresh bedding, for $30 for a huge bag. Food, for $10 that lasts about 2 months!
Total: $100-$120, I bought two gerbils for $20 at Pet Land, and a $2 feeding bowl. Everything else I bought at Pet Smart, and it only cost me $76! That was because I didn't have to buy the tank though. I'm pretty sure the prices are lower, but I just wanted to make sure.
Gerbils are a lot more fun than hamsters, they play a lot more, and don't bite nearly as much. They are very cute, and you can watch them by making a huge playground out of card board!
I did that, I just saved a big card board box, and a whole bunch of littler ones, and stuck them inside the other one for storage. Then when I played, I made dead ends, tubes, running areas, and snack areas. I supervise them for about 2 hours, and usually it only feels like 30 minutes! Even though it feels like 30 minutes, but is really more like 2 hours, every minute is exciting (when they escape and I have to catch them, which is usually easy), or fun (when they are cleaning themselves, running across the big box, eating, or trying to escape) or just plain cute!
I hope I helped!
Cheap and fun ones are hamsters. As a hamster expert and owner I have experience. I have three. I suggest syrians, goldens, or blackbears. I have one of each. Dwarfs may look cute but are fiesty and are very hard to find if they escape. They are cheap and have good homes to buy. They are easy to care for and are lovable. They have fun cages too. They need time so if you have a busy schedule I dont suggest getting one. Here are some cool cages!

Well I recently bought my second cousin twice removed (we have a very close relationship) a Capybara. We had ours imported from Portugal, but I believe you can buy them from pet smart for a small fee of; $3,757 dollars; at least in our little town. Thats including the cage, and rare aquatic plants for food, and a small wading pool for swimming. ENJOY YOUR WONDERFUL NEW PET!!!! IT WILL BE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR FAMILY!!
