What is your favorite type of rodent? and why?

I love guinea pigs. I have 2 guinea pigs and I just love the way they will wheep win I come in the room or rustle the bag of food I have. One of my gps loves to come up under my chin and cuddle with me. My other guinea pig isn't reallly a snuggler but she is very adventurous and daring. They've come a long way because when I first got them they were so scared they wouldn't even move when I got them out of their cage now they love to run around and play. What is your favorite type of rodent? and why?
I don't know if I could choose a favorite.


Chinchillas, guinea pigs and rats are definitely the top 3.


I like chinchillas, their fur is so soft, I love their personality although not the friendliest some of them, I like learning about them and I think their care is interesting.


Guinea pigs, I like all the noises they make, how friendly they are.


Rats are probably my favorite rodent, they are so intelligent.





I think I like spending money on them more and making stuff for them, I like buying the big cages for them and seeing them happy in them, feeding them properly, all of that.
Mice!





I love mice, far more than any other rodent. They are so cute (hamsters and gerbils are nice, but just not the same!), and the most interesting pet to keep. They are so industrious, always on the go. I had 9 girls and we nicknamed them ';mousevision';. The whole family tended to spend more time in the evening watching the mice than the TV. From the houdini mouse (always searching for a way out, testing the bars etc), to the exercise mad mouse (always on the wheel) to the lazy mouse (eat and sleep and nothing else!) to the tidy up mouse (followed the other mice around clearing up the mess they made.)





They are adorable, totally fascinating to watch, easy to handle, rarely bite... can't fault them.
Rats def rats.


Ive had mice and hamsters and girbles but all of them weren't really pets to me, they weren't fond of human contact, they would bite, and I couldn't take them out of the cage to let them run around because they would run away.


My rats are social, they LOVE being held, I can let them out and have them trained to come back to me. Very intelligent. I can actually see the different personalities. And I have only had one rat out of the 20 or 30 that ive had over the years that ever bit me and I only think she did it because she was my first rat and she was a rescue so I was inexperienced and she wasn't raised by me. I loved her so very much though, she eventually died of cancer and now shes my little rattie angel.

they are hilarious to watch





they are really busy and I love the way they construct things...like tunnels and nests in their mulch

I love the way they snuggle into me





they REALLY play...tis so cute!!!





they know me and prefer me to anyone





I also have pet guinea pigs but they dont do it for me in the same way that ratties do...Im a sucker for the intelligence of the ratties I think
Gerbils!





They are small, and cute like hamsters!

They can't get sick as easily!





They are social!





They live longer than hamsters!





They are cheap!





They are THE sweetest little darlings! I love mine!








I ALSO LOVE, Guinea Pigs (too cute!!!), Hamsters (aww!!), and bunnies (oh my goodness, I may die!). By the way, I LOVE rats too, I just don't like their tails, otherwise they ROCK too!!!

I love hamsters, I have a little chinese dwarf hamster. She is really cute, she has BIG bug eyed eyes. Also she isn't aggressive, which most people say. But anyway Hamsters are my favorite. Guinea pigs are cute too! My friend used to have one, his name was Joey.. he was so cute! :)
Obviously hamsters! I am known as 'hamster girl' at my school cause I have 6 hamsters! 4 syrian and 2 dwarf.





I love theem because they are so fun to watch and also they are like little fluff balls! Rolling around in their balls!
Hamsters... I am absolutely crazy about them. They are so cute and entertaining to watch and rewarding when you pay them lots of attention.
defenately guinea pigs. they will cuddle with you while you are watching TV or reading a book, and they are sooooo cute! if you get one, you should get a baby one.
I personally love rats. They are very smart and social. They can play with you, learn tricks, or just sit on your shoulder. =]

Hedgehogs and rabbits are NOT rodents!!!!
