Hey every one i need some help about choosing a rodent ten points to best answer?

well i really want i pet rodent but not a rat cuz my mom would freak so like i want to know what is the best rodent to have as a pet please help and give me links and your opinionHey every one i need some help about choosing a rodent ten points to best answer?
Omigosh, you should get a syrian hamster all the way. They're loving, rarely bite, fall asleep in your arms, and are totally adorable. I highly recommend 'em. Plus, they're tons of different toys to get them!! I luv hammies!!!Hey every one i need some help about choosing a rodent ten points to best answer?
Chinchilla, even though they are expensive, they are great rodents. They can be a little jumpy, but otherwise loyal, and loving, as long as friendly. The good news is they live, on average, 16 years, but can up to 22!!! Then you wouldn't have to worry about him/her passing away any time soon. There are many fun things you can do with a chinchilla, as fun as playing outside with them, watching tv with them, cuddling them. You can even get a large playpen, and put obstacles in it, and sit in there with your chinchilla. They had little to no smell, in my opinion, and LOVE to be petted under the chin, and behind the ears. It's nice petting them, for they are the softest animals in the world. Also, they have the most fur per square inch, leaving them with no possible chance to get fleas, mites, lice, or any kind of skin chewing insect. Of course, like all animals, they can get parasites, but there is medication. If you like guinea pigs, then you will like the chinchilla for they are in the guinea pig family. They are a little jumpy, but if you get them young, you can either train them to be calm, or let them be, my chinchilla is in the middle.Don't get sad if your chinchilla sometimes squeaks at you, or isn't used to you at first, they will eventually get used to you, and love you, as long as coming out of the cage. Good luck picking a rodent, and HOPE I HELPED!!!!:-D
get a couple of rats!!! they're so smart and sweet, and adorable!!! they don't just sit around, and they can train as easily as dogs, even potty training!! if you get two rats, they'll have each other to play with, even when you go to work/school. contrary to popular belief, a socialized rat will never ever bite its owner, although most rats will affectionately lick or nibble the tip of their owner's fingers. they're relatively cheap and very easy to care for. the only possible bad thing i can think of is that they usually only live for about three years, but they have such big personalities, it is so totally worth it. check out the book ';Rats'; by Debbie Ducommun; it tells you everything you need to know.

if your mom is a little queasy about rats, tell her that they're domesticated, and are very clean animals. they clean themselves and their buddies everyday. offer to get tailless rats. from what i know, the tail is what gets most people. however, tailless rats are more prone to heatstroke, and you should be careful.

rats are amazing little creatures, and by far the best little pets out there!!! hope you get one!!!
Rats are by far my favorite but since you can't get them i would get a rabbit which are extremely affectionate if handled and can be trained to come by it's name and use a litter pan. I also find sugar gliders to be extreme fun but they're not quite as affectionate as rabbits or rats. Hope i helped. Theres some links below for you.
A panda bear hamster. Panda bear hamsters are crazy little guys.

You will fall in love with one right away. It is much easy-er to teach them not to bite and to be held 24-7. I hope you pick an awesome panda hammie!

They are easy to take care of!
i would get a teddy bear hampster.

They are sooo soft and cute and they dont bite.

I have had 15 of them (momma had babies) and not one of them bit me!
panda bear hamster, dwarf hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs

rabbits are the best in my own opinion =)
Don't get a dwarf hamster, they're mean. I think the syrian hamsters are nicer.
get a hamster or a sloth ahhaha
guinea pigs are really loving if you get them young.
i had a guenia pig they r funn and loving but remeber to always love and care for it
Well, in many people's eyes (including mine) rats are the best pet rodents there are. They are much smarter and are clean, cute, affectionate, cuddly, and more like dogs than rodents. Here is a list from best small pet to worst:

Mice

Cavy

Degu

duprasi

chinchilla

gerbil

hamster

I have a mouse and they are super sweet and cute! My mouse loves to ride around on my shoulder, play on my lap, and get treats from my hand. My other mouse was like that also, but he passed away. So, if you can't get rats, get a mouse.

Cavies (more commonoly known as guinea pigs) are pretty cuddly and good pets if you socialize them properly and give them the huge cages they require.

Degus are similar to rats and gerbils. They look like a gerbil, but are the size of a small rat and are energetic, playful, cuddly pets that very few people know much about.

Duprasi are extremely rare. THey are related to gerbils and look like hamsters with long fat tails. They are laid back and cuddly, but are willing to sit on your lap for 1/2 and hour and watch tv with you, wheras hamsters are extremely squirmy. Duprasi also pee less, so you don't need to clean the cage quite as often.

Chinchillas are in my opinion the cutest animals on the planet! They aren't cuddly pets, but they are really entertaining to watch and play with. They like to richochet off walls, furniture, and you. I really like them, but if you want a pet to hold, they may not be for you.

Gerbils are pretty cool little animals. My friend had like 15 or so, so I have some experience with them. They are good if you want an active and small pet that will let you hold it for a while. They also don't pee much, so their cage cleaning is less.

Hamsters are cute sure, but even the people that breed them say they are not cuddly. I find hamsters to be the most boring pet next to fish. Dwarf hamsters are VERY prone to biting and you can't hold them. Syrians are better about biting, but if you get any kind of hamster, it will bite. They also don't like to be held for more than 5 mins or so. They are really a pet to watch, not so much to interact with.
