What is a lil rodent that is about 1 1/2in long, w/ a long tail & nose & it was flat bodied?

I found one in my garage. My cat was chasing it around the tire from my car and it was brown and really small and i never seen one like it. does anyone have any clue on what it might be? It was probably some kind of mouse. When they are running around, they will often flatten themselves out in order to squeeze into small spaces, and so they are harder to catch.





It could have also been some kind of shrew, vole, or rat. There are thousands of species of these animals, so without a picture it will be hard to identify it.

It was most likely a shrew or a vole. They look kind of like mice but not really. Google them and see if you find something.
