What is a small animal that is not a rodent and isn't a cat or dog, but is always happy to see you and is lovi

ya I know a long question lol. I want a pet that loves me and is happy to see me, but isn't a rodent (my mom hates them) or isn't a cat or a dog. any suggestions? nothing that exotic, because I have to get it :P. and also, cuteness is a factorWhat is a small animal that is not a rodent and isn't a cat or dog, but is always happy to see you and is lovi
My rabbits (lagomorphs) are always happy to see me. I have Lop earred rabbits, particularly English Lop rabbits. They are super affectionate and sociable and loving and demand attention and just love their heads scratched/rubbed!!

Their big ears are outrageously funny, and watching them hop avoiding stepping on their ears or toss their own ears around is fun for the whole family. Some even go as far as carrying their ear around in their mouth (not good for their ear however!), but what a sight!

Guiniea Pigs are rodents, but they are a somewhat cute rodents.

Otherwise ';cuteness'; is a matter of opinion, some people love furry cuteness, some love scaley cuteness. What is a small animal that is not a rodent and isn't a cat or dog, but is always happy to see you and is lovi
Rabbits can surprisingly get along with other pets! Try a larger breed of rabbit that your cat wouldn't look at as ';prey'; being the same size.

A rabbit. If you invest the time to play with, groom it, train it, and take care of it, they can be very loving pets.

They are also very clean, and easily trained to use a litter box.
well you could get a bird like a cocketiel or parrot or parakeet, or if you have lots of land than you could get a chicken ( i own four rode island reds) or a duck ( i own two mallards ). i am sorry but i cant think of anything else but good luck with getting your new pet. remember to read about it and learn as much as possible about it before you get it.
Rabbit? They don't necessarily show their feelings though, and need special care.
A rabbit! They can be georgous pets and you can house train them too. They are clean and poop in one area, so you can set up a litter tray. My bunny is house trained and likes to run around outside also. He is always happy to see me, and loves cuddles. Although, these pets do have a mind of their own, so when they are little you need to pay them heaps of attention so they grow up tame and loving. And be careful, as they like to chew wires and furniture. Rabbits are considered rodents, but they are much cuter than rats, mice and guinea pigs.
Rabbit ?

Fish?

Parrot?
Small, not a rodent. Hm....rules out rats. :)

Well, what about a bird? Once a bird is bonded with their owner, they show signs of affection and are happy to see them.

What else....well, reptiles don't really show if they're ''happy'' to see you. :x Haha.
i would get a ferret or a rabbit i have never had a ferret but if i could get one i would they are so cute and fun to play with. but the down side is that they kind of stink
