No I think he had an agenda. Cats don't need to fly to beat up mice but a mouse would need that edge. I think he was just a little rat himself indulging in a fantasy world where he needn't fear cats. No, he's a super hero to mice! He beats up all the cats that otherwise pick on the poor defenseless little-people mice.
Comics have always been about the ';underdog'; (pun intended) taking on and beating the big bad guys. Every super hero had some disadvantage whether it was Mighty Mouse's size (his strength made up for it) or Superman's helplessness against kryptonite.





You gotta have a little imagination here--although I still can't understand why Popeye had anything against the jeeps when he wasn't fightin' Bluto.
So what about Tom and Jerry? Jerry sure beat the piss outta Tom. It's a cartoon it isn't Supposed to make sense or be serious. Rabbits don't talk and Pluto is practically the only named Disney character that doesn't. You're just biased about cats its ok....
The real question is, who would win in a fight between Mighty Mouse and Felix The Cat?


I mean, MM is very strong and quick etc. but Felix has his bag from which he could extract something super to kill MM like a giant mouse trap.


Needless to say, Danger Mouse wouldn't last 4 seconds with either of them, but the Predator could win if he had his shoulder cannon.
It's only about as unrealistic as a coyote with the disposable income to order explosives from a catalog. Everyone knows coyotes prefer going to the mall.
