Can guinea pigs mate with mice since both are of the rodent family?

Nope

The size difference for one.

They won't because they are too different. They need the proper smells and behavior signals for sex and breeding. They don't ';speak each other's language'; if you know what I mean. Can guinea pigs mate with mice since both are of the rodent family?
A Capybara is a rodent. Google that and tell me if it could mate with your Guinea Pig..... : pCan guinea pigs mate with mice since both are of the rodent family?
no they are in a differand genes
guinea pigs are not rodents. They are lagomorphs whereas mice are rodents so no, they cannot mate... the lagomorph family consists of rabbits and Cavies (Guinea pigs) and the rodent family has mice rats squirrels...
Hahaha, no, that's not how that works. ';Rodents'; are not a species, they are a group of species which share similar traits. Although there are exceptions (tigers and lions, horses and donkeys, etc.) a species is usually a group of animals that can breed together, but not with any other species.

Species:

Biology- A fundamental category of taxonomic classification, ranking below a genus or subgenus and consisting of related organisms capable of interbreeding.

Logic- A class of individuals or objects grouped by virtue of their common attributes and assigned a common name; a division subordinate to a genus.

A guinea pig could easily kill a mouse and it is almost never recommended to mix species even for living together, let alone attempting to breed.
