Rat, Mice, Gerbil or Hamster?
My birthday is coming up soon and i have no idea which rodent i should get because their all so cool.

Alright, here's some thigns you should know about each:
BTW: THis is your decision. Get whatever one will make you happy.
RATS:
Very friendly, easy to take care of, very social and needs lots of attention. You should get them in pairs as they are very social. DON'T GO THROUGH PET STORES -- They are not bred correctly through pet stores, so get your name on a waiting list near your local breeder.
They are very smart and can learn lots of tricks. You can potty train them. Should not be picked up by their tails, as they can break off if the rat is heavy enough.
MICE:
Stinky, so make sure you clean the cage out at least every 5 days. Smaller, and so you can't handle them very much unless they are very docile. Likes to play a lot, and are very active. Again, you should get these in pairs, as they are social animals as well. Can (but you shouldn't) pick them up by their tails. Will most likely not cause injury.
GERBILS:
Social, again. Fun to watch, but you don't really handle them that much, as they are very fast, and their tails are part of their spine, so you can't pick them up by their tails. You have to catch them.
HAMSTER:
Usually social (depending on what breed you get). There are a few breeds that you should only get one. These include Syrian, Blueberry, Russian and Winter Whites. The rest of the breeds: Teddy Bear, Robo, and Chinese Dwarfs are all social and do better if you have two of them. They sleep most of the day, and are active at night. The usually horde food in their wheel, or in the tubes of the cage, so they are hard to clean (the cage, I mean). Fun to watch, not really so much about handling them though. DO NOT GET FROM PET STORE - same as above.
DANGERS OF BUYING THROUGH PET STORES:
1 - Illness is easily spread, and sometimes this gets out onto the floor and sick pets are sold.
2 - Pet store animals are not USUALLY socialized, as the pet store associates don't have the time to socialize all of them. Bites and non-friendly behaviour is common after buying from pet stores. This takes a lot of trust training and patience to train them.
3 - They go through a 'mass breeder', meaning one company breeds and breeds and doesn't care about the temperment.
Good luck.Im having this dilemma on which Rodent i should get?
Rats have long tails and their eyes would creep me out at night. I have a black bear hamster and i love her to death. She is soo hyper and friendly, and they aren't stupid at all, she found her way out of her ball even with tape on it, but she comes up to people in her ball. I would strongly suggest a hamster, they all have different personalities so if u pick one out find the one that likes u the best. I think u should get a hamster :D
Easy. A rat! Go to a pet store and hold a rat and all of the other animals and you will see rats are the best. :) (or hamsters?)
Rats are very sweet and fun to play with. Rats are cuddle able and they are fun too. You can teach rats to do a lot of tricks and they are smarter than hamster +gerbils. Mice are too small!
You need more than one rat. They would get depressed and lonely if not. If not rats, my hamster is very sweet and I enjoy him a lot.
Heres a good rat cage:

It can fit 4 female rats and 3 male rats :)
Good Luck!
rats are the mos fun, but its kind of sad because pretty much all tame rats end up getting a tumor and you have to put them to sleep. its because they are all related to lab rats. so you have to be ready for that.
i will say a rat because they are smart.hamsters only like you when you have food.
and i really never had a gerbil.
but rat is a good choice.
rats, they are the smartest. Mice gerbils and hamsters won't recognize you, but rats will realize its you and get attached to you.
hammy!!! or a rat. i hear rats are awesome.
dont get a gerbil or mouse.
Hamster their nice but I think you should get a guinea pig they are really cool and nice.
