The population growth of a certain rodent is approximately 3% per month.?

Find the time it takes for the population to triple.

I appreciate any insight on this problem.The population growth of a certain rodent is approximately 3% per month.?
The equation is A = P(1.03)^t where t = time in months, A = final amount and P = starting amount. So pick any 2 numbers where one is triple the other, say 30 and 10

30 = 10 (1.03)^t

divide by 10: 3 = 1.03^t

log both sides: log 3 = t log 1.03

then divide log 3 by log 1.03The population growth of a certain rodent is approximately 3% per month.?
1.03^x = 3

x * log(1.03) = log(3)

.01284x = .4771 (those numbers are rounded)

x = 37.1670 months

37 months and 5 days to the nearest whole day
