I really want to get a small animal.. Like something smaller the rabbit. Maybe a hamster or something. I really wanted a hedgehog, except apparently they're illegal in Ottawa. I'm looking for a pet that has a small enough cage, is easy to take care of and doesn't stink too much. Any suggestions?What small animal/rodent should i get?
Get a guinea-pig, they're more cuddly than hamsters and gerbils and mice, and they're very cute!!
I just saw a weird rodent called a degu in the pet shop, it looks a bit like a sort of wild guinea-pig with a tail, I think thy're brazilian, heres a coupla pics:

I think rats are the best they are easy to train smart and very friendly! I walked around with him on my shoulder(they have great balance)
The downside is their tail I don't mind it but some people think it's gross. Also they only live about four years(except one in the Guinness book of world records lived eight). Depending on where you live you could get a ferret. I live in CA so I don't know much about ferrets.
but I've seen them and they are cute and play full!
well, those are my two favorite animals! They are both smart,
friendly, and trainable!
maybe a parakeet, its a small bird
it doesn't really stink, but you need to clean its cage and take the poop out
a hamster's poop might stink a little bit and it is also easy to lose a hamster or it can escape
Chinchillas are amazing animals !
They don't smell, they are really funny little things and can be very friendly. However they do need a relatively big cage and do like to be kept in pairs or more.
A hamster should be fine... you just have to clean its cage a least every week maybe even a bit more often. or you can get a mice their cut and are usually clean mammals...
Rats are really cool pets and like attention. If you get a hamster usually they want to be left alone most of the time.
A Gerbil
def hamster...maybe a ferrit..but stinky.
rat, hamster
a fish? thats about as easy as it gets
