If you were going to get another rodent, what would you get?

I want a rat. they are smart and cuddly and friendly. I used to have a rat, but i dont know why he died. he showed o signs of illness; he just fell off his igloo and then died. also, if you know the answer to why my rat died, could u answer that too?If you were going to get another rodent, what would you get?
I'm a rat fan. I think I'm going to stick with them for quite a while.





How did your rat die? Hard to say. I've had a rat in the past (my very first one, actually), who passed away without any symptoms. He was just running around in his exercise ball, then -=dead=-. A female I had, did something similar. I was petting her, and I left to get her a grape. The minute I was gone, she passed away. She didn't have any behavioral signs showing that she wasn't feeling well, and she was young.If you were going to get another rodent, what would you get?
I would get a rat(s).

Their lifespan's short unfortunately 2-3 yrs. average and they are proned to tumors and heart attacks.

I would also pick rats, as I have two little girls myself. They are very friendly and playful.
i'm not sure what to say about your other rat dying, maybe got food that he shouldn't have had??? thats my best guess since i don't know how old he was.


i personally would have to say that you wouldn't be going wrong by getting rats again, and i say plural because they should be kept in same sex pairs unless you plan on a spay or neuter. i love my rats and dread the day they might be gone from my life.


this is just my opinion on what small pet i like, but really its up to you.
