If it had big front feet %26amp; tiny, tiny eyes, it would most likely be in the mole family. If it had small front feet, and normal size for the head eyes, it is probably a vole, or in the ground squirrel family. It could also be a screw as well.
It's most likely a vole. They're like smaller moles. My dogs find them all the time.
